Every day God gives us 24 hours to spend. It can be easy to rush around doing all sort of things, and find out that we've used all our time up. Then, just as we're about to go to sleep, suddenly realise, 'Oh no - I haven't spent any time with God! ... Oh! ... Er... Dear Lord ... snore ... snore ...'
God created us with thinking minds so we could talk with Him and plan the best ways to use our time and energy. He created us to enjoy our work and be part of His plans. And we miss out on life when we don't do that. So why not find time for God right now?
Spend time asking God to help you put Him first in everything. When God is No.1 in your life, you'll find that you want to please Him more each day.
Ants are amazing creatures that organise themselves and work together... without being nagged!
Ants are workers not shirkers. They don't need teacher ants to tell them to be quiet and get on with their work, or leader ants to nag them into doing their bit. They get all six legs on the go because if they don't work NOW they'll have nothing to eat later on.
How we work affects our future. If were slap-dash with our school work it will show in our assessments.
Our work will be much better if we can set targets and give eveything our best shot. 'Whatever you do, work with all your heart'. Don't be anti-work, be like an ant at work.
Ants to-do list
Give myself the job of heading the nearest leaf.
Cut it into smaller pieces, load up and carry it back to the nest. Tell myself to return for more pieces and so on. Keep myself at it till the job's done.
Project planning
Spend time having a look at what needs to be done.
Work out the best way to get the project done.
Get started.
Don't be put off by other people.
Trust that God will give you success.
Plan it. Start it. Keep praying. Keep going. Finnish it. Praise God!
- When you do something, make sure you carry on until you are being able to say, 'It is finnished!'. -
*Be strong! *Don't worry! *God is with you!
